  • Pots or pace where to grow the crops
  • Soil or growing medium
  • Farming Tools

Description of the Tool:

Part 1: In the first part of the process the students will be encouraged to grow various vegetables and herbs from different countries. This process will take several weeks and its important that such crops are nurtured on a regular basis.

Part 2: Once the crops grow fully, the students can harvest the crops together with their educator.

Step 3: Once the crops are harvested the students can bring different recipes from their own countries and cook different recipes on a weekly basis

Notes for facilitators:

Note 1: It would be ideal if the educator makes use of vegetables and herbs that come from the countries that the children in the class come from. Like that every child will feel that his/her country is represented.
