Theme: 

Objectives:

  • To help students get to know each other
  • To cultivate student’s knowledge and pride in their cultural identity
  • To cultivate empathy for cultural differences and similarities
  • To teach students to manage inappropriate reactions stemming from cultural differences.

  • Newspapers
  • Magazine
  • Glues
  • Water paint
  • Scissors
  • Tape

  • Brushes
  • Knitting wool
  • markers
  • Crayons
  • Colours

Description of the Tool:

Step 1: Tell the participants to bring with them a number of pictures and photos, These should include pictures that represent various aspects that make them up like: their favorite food from their country, their hobbies, the most beautiful place from their country, a family photo and other photos

Step 2: In the classroom they would have to create a collage of photos that would describe who they are and where they come from.

Step 3: Once ready they have to present this to the whole class. This will help them to practice English or the native language while they get to know each other better
