Objectives:

• The goal of this activity is to, demonstrate how easy it is to get ahead in life when you have vast financial resources and also demonstrate how difficult it is to get ahead when privilege isn’t on your side.

Suggested time needed: 90 minutes

Group Size: 5-10

Materials needed:

• The calendar
• Material and stuff needed to celebrate the different activities.

Description of the Tool:

Step 1: In the beginning of the scholastic year, the educator would create an calendar which will include all the important celebration dates that take place in the different cultures that the students come from.

Step 2: When the day comes, the students from that culture will speak about the importance of the day and explain to their peers why is it important and what celebrations take place to commemorate it.
