Materials needed:

• 2 hats, cards

Description of the tool:

The teacher has prepared cards with words according to the lesson’s subject. For example: verbs, nouns, adverbs, even complex concepts (freedom), depending on the age of the children. He/she has also prepared two hats in which he has made a slit in which cards can be placed. Then he/she divides the children into two groups. The children decide who wants to wear the hat in each group. Once card is placed in each hat, each group is invited to describe the word, paraphrasing it’s meaning. The group that finds the most words wins.
